Nail Art aftercare advice

Here are some helpful hints for extending the life of your nail art:

1. When doing the dishes, wear rubber gloves to avoid coming into touch with harsh detergents, which can dehydrate the nails and skin.

2. When gardening or doing household activities, wear protective gloves to avoid injury.

3. In cold conditions, always wear gloves to ass

ist preserve healthy blood circulation in the area.

4. After washing, thoroughly dry your hands. To lubricate and soften the skin, apply hand cream or lotion after washing. Some hand lotions contain UV filters, which help to prevent hyper-pigmentation (darkening of the skin) on the backs of the hands.

5. Keep hand cream near the kitchen and bathroom sinks as a reminder to use it after washing your hands.

6. Just before retiring to bed, massage your hands and cuticles with a creamy hand cream.

7. Use a nourishing cuticle oil, such as CND Solar Oil, just before going to bed. This will help to keep the nail healthy by nourishing the nail bed and cuticle.

8. If you have a French manicure, apply a sealer every two days to avoid chipping of the nail art or top coat, as well as fading.

9. Never use your fingernails as a tool (for instance, to praise lids off tins)

10. Use an acetone-free nail polish remover to avoid damaging your nails.

11. Eat a well-balanced diet that includes all of the nutrients necessary for good skin and nails.

12. Keep your skin and nails moisturized by drinking plenty of water.

13. Don't pick at your nail art.

14. If preferred, return to the salon every two weeks to maintain the design.

15. If the design needs to be removed at home, follow the instructions below: wipe the nails with a non-acetone varnish remover to remove all products if the design includes varnish, foiling, gold / silver leaf, glitter, or transfer

s. Wipe over the nail with a wet wipe or damp cotton wool bud to eliminate all signs of marbling or paints if the design includes them. If the rhinestones were fastened with a small bit of glue, remove the polish with a non-acetone remover. After soaking the nails in warm water for a few minutes to soften the adhesive, wipe them down again to make sure it's all gone. Remove any polish and take off the foils / tape with tweezers if the nail design includes foils or tape.
